A month before the meeting of the power sector in Valencia the organising committee announces the following statistics:

• Visitors: More than 3.900 registered professionals of the sector; engineers, architects, technical managers of maintenance, promoters of all types of energy projects, professionals from the area of construction, professionals and investors of the sector of sustainable mobility and administration executives and many others.

EGÉTICA-EXPOENERGÉTICA TO HOST COMUNITAT VALENCIANA FORUM ON SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION

Organised by the Valencia Institute for Construction (IVE), the forum will bring together all agents involved in the construction process
The second Comunitat Valenciana Forum for Sustainable Construction, which is open to all, will be taking place on 25th and 26th November within the framework of the Egética-Exponergética fair at Feria Valencia.

A permanent institution providing opportunities for meeting others in the industry, learning, debating and discovering areas of consensus on issues relating to sustainable construction, the Forum is promoted by the Valencia Institute for Construction (IVE) and is part of the plans that comprise the Valencia Regional Government’s Quality in Housing and Construction Plan.

Over the two days of the forum all the agents involved in the process of planning, constructing and using buildings will come together at Valencia’s exhibition venue to reflect upon and address, in depth, specific issues relating to sustainable construction. There will also be a presentation covering the work undertaken by the Forum over the last year and the initiatives and projects it will be embarking upon in 2010.

The major features of the programme planed for this second Forum are:

• master classes to be given by recognised figures in the field of sustainable construction.
• three round-table discussions on energy, sustainable design and initiating construction projects, that as well as the invited experts will include audience question time, leading to an open debate amongst the audience.
• A series of parallel events such as displays, competitions targeted at universities and stands reserved for bodies that are members of the Forum and that would like to make information about their activities and products etc. available.

Egética-Expoenergética, the International Fair for Energy Efficiency and New Technological Solutions for Renewable and Conventional Energy opens its doors at Feria Valencia from 25th to 27th November and will be showcasing the greatest ever range of technologies and practical applications geared to the market for renewable and conventional energy. A major component of the fair will be the leading players in the sustainable construction market: thermal and sound insulation, urban equipment and air-conditioning suppliers, manufacturers of materials for sustainable construction, environmental consultancies etc.
